Brand and Design in Erbil, Iraq

We build visual identities and the design systems that keep them consistent, for companies that need everything they publish, in English, Arabic and Kurdish, to look like it came from the same place.

What this covers

A logo is the smallest part of it. What decides whether a brand holds together is everything downstream: the typefaces, the colour roles, how a heading behaves next to a photograph, what a button looks like when it is disabled. We produce those as rules and components, not as a PDF a designer has to reinterpret every time.

Working across three languages changes the brief. A wordmark has to sit next to Arabic script without looking borrowed, type has to be chosen for both Latin and Arabic at the weights you will actually use, and layouts have to mirror cleanly for right-to-left reading. We design for that from the start rather than adapting afterwards.

Who it is for

New companies that need an identity before they launch, established businesses whose materials have drifted apart over the years, and teams whose designers and developers are working from different assumptions. It pairs naturally with a web or app build, where the design system becomes the code rather than a reference document.

How we work

The same three steps on every project, whatever the service.

  1. Tell us what you need

A short brief or one call. No forms, no sales process.

  2. Fixed scope and quote

You get a written plan and a fixed price within 24 hours.

  3. Build, review, ship

You review at every stage. Deployed, documented and handed over.

Design work is scoped around the deliverables and the number of review rounds, so you know what you are getting, and what a change costs, before we start.

What's included

  • Logo and wordmark, in the formats print and screen each need.
  • Type, colour and spacing rules that work in Latin and Arabic script.
  • A component library your developers can build directly from.
  • Templates for the things you publish most often.
  • Written guidelines, so the system survives people joining and leaving.

How we build it

Where the project allows it, design systems are delivered as living components rather than static files: the same tokens drive the designs and the front-end code, so a colour changed in one place changes everywhere. Our own site is built this way, and it is the setup we recommend for anything that will keep changing.

Frequently asked questions

Do you design for Arabic and Kurdish as well as English?
Yes, and we treat it as part of the design rather than as a translation step. Type is chosen for both scripts, and layouts are built to mirror properly for right-to-left reading.
Do we own the artwork and the source files?
Yes. You get the source files, the fonts you are licensed to use, and written guidelines. There is nothing we hold back to make you come back to us.
Can you work with a brand we already have?
Yes. Refining an existing identity is often the better answer and it is a smaller project. We will tell you which one we think you need after looking at what you have.
Do you work with clients outside Iraq?
Yes. Our team works from Erbil and the company is registered in Estonia. Design work runs remotely without difficulty.
What happens after the brand is delivered?
You can take it from there, or keep us on a maintenance plan for the design system so it stays consistent as the product grows.

Projects rarely stop at one service. These two come up most often alongside this one.
